THE DOORS OF PERU!

Our missionaries spend a lot of time knocking on doors, and I wanted to share what some of those doors look like.   Most homes and apartments have locked courtyards behind brick or rod iron walls, with electric fencing, broken glass, or sharp metal spikes to keep their homes safe from intruders.  Many people take great pride in their doors as you will see!  We found huge, beautiful, and ornate doors on homes, museums, cathedrals, hotels, and palaces.  We also discovered simple, humble, and very rustic doors!

Most of these doors are found in La Molena, which is our neighborhood and is one of the nicer places to live in Lima.

Most doors have intercoms and this makes it difficult to get someone to answer and be willing to let strangers in their homes.

Most people have two doors to open!

Apartments can be really hard to get someone to let the missionaries in, so member referrals are the best way to make contacts!
