A TEMPLE FIRESIDE, A VISIT TO THE LIMA EAST MISSION OFFICE, AND GOODBYE TO THE LOWS!

All the senior missionaries were invited to the Lees home on the Lima Temple grounds.  They will be leaving the end of October and wanted to share the many special and sacred experiences they received while serving as the Presidents of the Lima Temple.  They have been especially kind to us and we have just been set apart as ordinance workers on the Thursday morning shift.  Many of their temple missionaries have returned home and so there is a real need for extra help.

The Lees are the lovely tall couple standing in the back!

Norma Johnson is our social chairman and introduced them and the evening events!

After the fireside, we walked out their gate and enjoyed the view the Lees had each time they walked to the temple doors!

On Monday, we visited the Lima East Mission to see sick or injured missionaries.

This is Jerry and Lila Dewey who are office missionaries.  Jerry grew up in Bremerton and knew Steve's family!  It's a small world!

That night we all met at Pardo's Pollo to say farewell to Pat and Doug Low who have been serving as records preservation missionaries!

This is Doug and Pat Low!

Ken and Karen Garner from Sela, Washington. He is the Executive Secretary to the area presidency.

Kay and Bob Lees (Temple Presidents)

The following day,  the office celebrated my birthday!

It was not fun turning 70, but I am grateful for my health and my many blessings, including my family and friends!

My best friend was there, too!
