We all attended a special celebration of forming the 100th Stake In Peru. This was an amazing accomplishment in under 56 years. It took Brazil around 120 years to accomplish the same goal, which shows this area is ripe and ready for harvest of souls! Elder d. Todd Christofferson addressed the huge stadium of saints and planned to create the new stake on Sunday. Hope you enjoy seeing the dancers from three different regions of Peru! Over 600 missionaries crossed the stage waving Peruvian flags. It was a very inspiring sight and great to be included! First, all missionaries that had served in Peru crossed the stage. We senior missionaries then followed them and then came the full-time missionaries! It was something we will never forget!
The gatherings before the celebration! These are missionaries from the Lima East mission!
Here are some of us senior missionaries!
The Willis' and the Lewis'
This is Jerry Dewey and Steve. He was in the Bremerton Ward with the Bramwells.
Jerry and his wife, Lila, are serving as office support in the Lima East Mission.
The Lima North Mission!
The crowd is beginning to arrive!
This is Bishop Rudy and his family. He works at the area office in maintenance.
The Johnsons and the Garners!
Now the crowd has arrived!
Beautiful costumes and all of the dances were very energetic and well done.
The former missionaries are getting in line to walk the stage, with 8 across.
The senior missionaries are getting ready to march, too.
Then came all the full-time missionaries!
Sister Callister has been one of our favorite hermanas and is baptizing many converts.
We really love all the hermanas that have been coming to the CCM.
